The space race ended once America set foot on the moon. Since then, momentum has slowly building towards new interests in space exploration. NASA is pushing farther into the idea of landing on Mars and private companies like SpaceX are popping up across the U.S.. Even Google jumped on the space-wagon offering up a $30 million dollar prize for the first company to land a rover on the moon. Space education is now more relevant than ever and necessary for continued scientific exploration.
